TBA-GA was featured in Venture Capital Nashville. Thanks to Milt Capps for the great article! ---------------------------------------------- Who is the TBA-GA? We are a group of graduate students in science, business and law who are passionate about the promise and future of Biotechnology in Tennessee. Through our collective effort, we seek to educate ourselves, and others, about the biotechnology industry. Our Mission Statement The Academic Chapter of the Tennessee Biotechnology Association (TBA) is a statewide organization of undergraduate through post-doctoral level students with a strong interest in biotechnology. The goal of the Chapter is to increase biotechnology-focused interaction between the state’s academic institutions while providing members with opportunities to expand their opportunities and knowledge of the industry through networking, seminars, and workshops. Furthermore, the Chapter strives to create an interdisciplinary environment, where students of all academic backgrounds can collaborate to increase awareness and knowledge about biotechnology across Tennessee. How do we accomplish this?By providing access and information about local, national, and international Biotech events; establishing networking opportunities with local Biotech business and scientific leaders; and practical educational opportunities such as our business plan competition. Who can join? Membership is available to any undergraduate, graduate student, professional student, or post-doctoral fellow interested in learning more about the Biotech Industry. With membership comes our quarterly newsletter, INTERACTOME, as well as regular emails from TBA. More importantly, you will be joining a community of individuals passionate about Biotech, and the associated networking opportunities. See our calendar of events for our next meeting! |
